Mission Community

The Committee sits at the center of the Mission Community, connected to five key functions it oversees or participates in:

Below the Committee, each school or ministry where Young Life is active has its own Resource Team.

Resource Teams

A Resource Team exists for each ministry or school where ministry is happening in the local area. The local Area Committee needs to determine what tasks are best managed at an Area level (e.g., strategic planning, events, staff hiring and development).

Tasks more closely aligned with an individual ministry (e.g., making dinner for a team before club, prayer for a specific group of kids, fundraising for camp) should be owned by the Resource Team.

It’s likely that each Resource Team would have a representative on the Area Committee, but it’s not a requirement.
